I'm going to be putting a DIFF temp gauge in. Looking for options on the best location on the 9in. You don't see too many people installing a gauge for it except those that do alot of road racing......High speed autobahn driving qualifies as that to me. Just looking for suggestions.

Thanks
Val

I'd put it where you fill the diff at. That seems the only place to me anyways. I've thought about that myself but haven't shelled out the 60 bones to do it. Plus I don't have anymore places to put guages except for the cup holder area. :D

At the fill hole.......do you think I'd get a good reading there??? That would be tight in there with the torque arm and torque are bracket. trying to get a wrench in there.... I'm going to be putting in the triple guage a-piler pods. Going to run oil, trans, & diff temp gauges. Thanks for the suggestion, I'll have to look at it when I get home :D

Will the sensor actually be in the oil if mounted there? If not, you won't get a good reading.
Hell, just drill holes in the back (where the cover is on GM rears) and mount one there. btw, those vents should now keep the oil cool.
j/k

Wonder if there is enough clearence there. It's a sender(eletric) so it shouldn't be too deep....not sure. Don't want to many holes back there

Nope it won't be totally immersed in oil. . if you got a drain plug in the rear it will work. or weld another nut ti to the 9inch to mount the sender

Where did you get rear diff guage from Val? I did my FP guage last night and what a pain in the arse! Going through the fire wall sucks even w/ holes already there. Not complete though....I got to get a shrader valve removal tool and then drop the sender on and I'm done. Hope it works the 1st try.

Well looks like the rearend is coming apart just for the drilling and welding ........oh well.

Silas, It is an Auto-Meter Z gauge. Summit racing has it for $42. It's like the 2-3page of the Auto-Meter "Z" style gauges. It was back ordered since the beginning of MAY, just got it this week .... well the wife got it at the house.
