can smbd please tell me the exact size of the US License Plate? I want to make a custom plate... 8)

or if you go to registration, just ask if you could please get the license plate in the 'moped' size - perfect fit :wink:
if you need a justification, to "fit on US car and NOT scratch the paint"

as long you ask like this, they understand and you should get one, I learned that they say NO when they do not know what you mean 8)

they made such a big deal out of these plates and didn't give me any. they said i need to go to the central registration place and apply there blablabla
