Hey,

as a couple of you know my maro's veeery soft (Bruce made a check *g*). I guess my stock shocks are trying to say bye bye. So I intend buying some new ones. I thought about HAL "F" adjustable shocks or the Billstein HD.

....and then, won't my new shocks get very soft again bcoz of my lowest Intrax springs? Should i maybe go with other springs too? Please say no *g*

Talk to Sam Strano at Strano Performance, and tell him which springs you're running and what your ultimate goals are, and he will be able to hook you up (quite literally)! ;)

ok, just had a pretty long conversation with Sam jr. He was really competent and helped me a lot. Thank you guys for your advice.

So I think I will go for this: Eibach Pro Springs & Koni Adj. Shocks.

Now I gotta save money again...

Hals or revalved Bilsteins. If you can afford it, double adjustable Konis! ;)

If Bilsteins, then revalved and just revalved Bilsteins...
That´s what i told you in Munich, Candyman ;)

I just removed those yellow-blue steel pipes (similar damping characteristics) after only 50.000km, I just couldn´t stand it anymore,
they became harsher from day to day.
If i drove over a banknote i would have been able to tell you what side was facing up...
I know, even Bilstein says on there website you should not use them together with lowering springs (without revalving), but unfortunately i bought and installed them 3 years ago before i knew this board or read that hint on their website... don´t make the same mistake

That's too bad Chris. Sell them and just get some revalved. Either that or just put your stock springs on with them.

I think after 50.000km they are not worth the trouble and perhaps they also got already damaged by the too hard spring rate of the Eibachs.
Not sure. Dino already asked for them, perhaps they are also still ok.

And i will never go back to stock height, i saw in Munich again 4th gens with nice rims and stock springs.. nice 4WD cars
Right now i got cheap KYBs and Eibach Pro and at least my back doesn´t hurt so much anymore, and I don´t do AutoX, so i´m fine ;)

damn, too many springs and too many shocks, that's gonna be a hard choice. but I think I'll wait a bit, coz my shocks&springs did a very good job yesterday when driving overloaded with the new wheels&tires over 250km one way. but I would really like some 1,5" Eibachs and Konis....

@Chris, yeah the revalved Bilsteins would be good too, but won't my 2" low Intrax kill them too??

@Jack, if Konis then single adjustables, aren't they good enough? they're about 700$ for all 4...

That's right, but if you have the $$$ you might as well get the best! ;) Right Roy?

Sorry but Koni DAs are real overkill. Do you ever race on a track, Candyman? I guess not. You really don't need to spend your money on DAs.

Ben

If I had the money, I would get the coilover kit from LG. That is what roy has, and that is probably the best suspension setup out there for fbodies in my opinion.

nope, we don't have the money either. I prefer adjustable that's why I won't take Bilsteins... The set from LG is kinda too expensive too ... and not adjustable

Get some KYB AGXs. I've actually thought about them. I haven't really heard anything bad, either...
