I´ve bought a predator programmer for my Camaro LS1. Everything works fine, but i don´t know, if i have more power then before.

I have a question:

In the modifying parameters i can change the air/fuel ratio. What should i do there?

Also i can change the spark time. what should i do there?

Jens when it come to tuning with hand held editors. Here are some basic guidlines.

1. pick a segment of road about a kilometer long that is straight and flat. This is for timing purposes with a stop watch. you will want to get a baseline before you do any adjustments. you will want to make all times with out having to shift gears . so choose your gear wisely. once you get your baseline then you can go to step two.

2. Do one adjustment at a time and do it in small increments. then test it against your baseline. I always like to adjust spark timing first. once you get your spark where you want it . then move on to step three

3. adjust your air fuel ratio and test it again . once you get the air fuel where you want it move to step 4.

4. then repeat step two to see if you can get any more gain. repeat three again. there you have it.

All testing must be done on the same day with the weather holding good.
If you can't finish in aday. you will have to baseline the car the next day with your partial tune and carry on from there.

A program that aids in tuning but does no tuning is AutoTap. You can set parameters to aid in the tuning process to be analyzed .

ok, thanks a lot. I think, the best place to test it, is bitburg. Maybe, the next time, when i´m in bitburg, some of you can help me with the test & tune.

i was in dasing from friday to sunday, it was great. Maybe next year we will see us and then we can drink a beer or two

Fu..ing Predator Programmer!

Today i was on the autobahn to check, how fast my camaro is. The engine is running good. I was in the 5. gear and then about 160 mph the speed limiter is still working. Damm!!! I was so fast at the 160 mph that i thought, my camaro will run over 180 mph. But this fu..ing speed limiter stops me.
Than i checked the predator programmer, where i can programm the speed limiter. I press this option and than there stands: not available!

What should i do now?

I´m so angry about this bullsh.. Predator Programmer

You need to raise the rev limiter, since that is what causes the car sort of jerk, not wanting to go any faster.

With the predator you can't raise the top speed . the feature is there butr not accessable. I talk to Val , he has the same problem. The solution is to pay an extra 120 dollars to Predator for unlimited tunes that will include raising the the tops speed limiter . Life sucks some times and then theres lemons.

THat sucks. For that money, you could buy LS1Edit or that new one, whose name I forgot.
