First off I want to THANK Roy for taking time away from his family to come to Wiesbaden to help me out!!!!!!! Well we got the StopTech brakes on, all I can say is WOW :-eek: :-eek: :-eek: :-eek: :-eek: :ok: :ok: :ok: !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would of never thaought that they would make such a hugh difference. They are just begging for the high speed stops. I went out this morning and put 100 city miles on them along with getting pulled over for drag racing by the polize(that's another story)!! Gonna put a few more miles on before bedding them in. Bruce, I heard that you where talking BIG smack down there in Vilseck about stomping Roy & I, he did say that it was before the races. I did straighten him out and told him that you backed out first thing Sat morning when you got there(LOL).

OK this is the deal with teh polize and drag racing. I was in downtown Wiesbaden (4:30AM) and I sitting at a stoplight. A Mercedezes (new one) pulls along side me. I didn't bother to look behind me (big mistake), light turned green and I jumped him till I hit 50kphand backed off. He flew by me and stopped at the next light...I pulled along side. I looked in the review and happened to notice a Polize sitting in the bus lane behind us. The light turned green and the Merc took off again, I took off slowly up to 50kph...the polize flys by me catches up to the Merc and turns on the lights. I start laughing at this guy...then the Polize waves me over too. I get out of the car and he screaming at me for my ID card, lic, & regs. They snatched the guy out of the Merc and where screaming at him. The one cop comes back to me and asks why I was drag racing..I told him I wasn't, he then said I was arguing with him and he was going to call the MPs. I told him I wasn't arguing and I wasn't drag racing. He snatched my lic and stuff out of my hand and they started running them over the radio. The cop kept insisting I was drag racing until I told him what the HP was and that I know better than to do that "He said POOP" in the city. I then told him that I saw him sitting there and I took off fast but did not burn rubber or break the speed limit. I said "just look at the car...it looks fast just sitting there parked. Do you actually think that I'm going to make trouble for myself by racing." The other cop got out of the car and gave me my lic and stuff back and said to keep it slow. I told him ok and as I was getting in my car they where giving the other guy hell for speeding. Luck must of been on my side...the one time I didn't race and I get still get pulled over but didn't get into trouble.

Now Val, why would you be steet racing once you put on new brakes? Brakes, who needs brakes? When someone says brakes around me, my car ends up on jackstands. :D

O.K. I saw that you ran a 13 second quarter and the ZO6 took care of my light work on the Auto X. J/K I'll be ready for you next year in my Opel Ascona.

I'm glad you are impressed with the brakes Val. I am equally impressed with the good handling of the poleizists.

Bruce, Hopefully your Hawk will not be taking anymore breaks(LOL)

Jason got your messages...need to let me know when you get the rest of your stuff.

Roy, now I understand why you love your brakes so much!!! Not saying that they are the same but what a difference in braking power over stock!!!

John, I took a few when I first tried to put them on and found out the wheel spacers where too small. I will get the few that I have posted in the gallery later today.

Don't know what it is, I think these brakes have brought me some bad luck. I couldn't sleep lastnight so I got up at 3AM and went for a nice long drive. I hit the autobahns (3,5,67,60,671,63 & finally was making my way to the airfield through Mianz and was sitting at a redlight and made my left turn and the Polize (had a car pulled over) pulled me over AGAIN!!!! They asked for my lic and stuff I asked what the problem was and they said that there was an American and German drag racing in town and thought it might of been me. There was no problem and they didn't give me a hard time except wanting to look at the interior and engine. I let them look and answered all their questions, actually they ended up being really interested in the car itself. I think I just need to park it and start driving a Hooptie!!

I'd rather them ask me a bunch of interested questions than get a ticket! ;) Your car is just so badass Val. Maybe we should trade wheels, and you won't be so noticeable! :P J/K!

Jack I agree with you, the questions are a lot better than a ticket or getting towed!!! I changed the wheels back to stock on Friday so I coulld put the brakes on. IT's temporary till the spacers come in and I get them recoated.

Usually not out that early but here lately I've been trying to get some miles on these brakes before bedding them in. I normally don't go into town at all.....now I will really avoid town if I can help it. 8)
