Has anyone had this problem? Hazards work for the rear but not the parking lights. Also when I go to signal the rear will come on BUT it's not blinking it's just on and in the dash it's lit the same way but the fronts don't come on at all. If I go to turn the lights on the parking lights and rear lights turn on but no blinking at all just a steady light when going to signal. I need some suggestions fast as I'm due for inspection. All the fuses are fine. Could it be the turn signal stalk itself even though that doesn't explain the rear lights working for hazards only. I swear every time I let the car sit for a few days a new *****in gremlin shows it ugly head.

Hm ... they are connected independently, as I think I remember that my car alarm will only flash the side markers, not the front/rear ... did you check any manual on the circuits?

It's probably a bulb. I have to go get one tomorrow for my car.

yes the hazards are seperate...also check for sticky blinker relays...

Also, when I had a problem with my signals not working, I checked all my bulbs and they were good....my right side just would not work....but my hazards did....i found UNDER the steering wheel, theres an panel/area where these is a wire connection/junction for the signals from the arm on the wheel....I had a bad connection there....it came loose or whatnot....and can cause your bulbs to keep burning out sooner or later...but i reconnected it and no problem since.

I can't be the bulbs. That's the thing. I've got 2 bulbs that don't work and everything worked, ie signal, hazards. I thought the bulbs were bad so I took them out and noticed they were ok but they would not light up for nothing. So then I got the hair brain idea swap to opposite sides. They only go in one way so naturally they wouldn't fit but I finagled it on and after that they lit up. When I went to go get it inspected is when I noticed my hazards or blinkers don't work. Hazard rears work, signal is just a steady light for the rear only and the fronts won't come on. Put the parking lights on and those work.

So I took the 2 bulbs out thinking maybe that was the problem but I still have the same issue. So now I'm gonna put them back when they originally were and if that works then it's the sockets themselves because the go in there w/ no problem but won't light unless I swap them to opposite sides.

possible short....like I said check your wires....if you have a Opel/GM dealer close, have them hook it up to the computer and scan the electrical system...if it sees a short it will give a readout code and then they can tell you where the short is.

slick metal , Ha haha ha ha, Who told you that. Sorry man , Iwish it was that simple ,but not an Fbody. You wanna find a short better use a multimeter and start probing wires.

They may have hooked to your computer , Ok . But you can't scan the entire Wiring system with it.
One reason why you can't . Is that the PCM (Power Control Module)is only for the Drive train only.
THis is accessed through the DTC link.

The BCM (Body Control Module) which is located behind the instrument panel stores codes that pertain to systems in the cabin of the vehicle. To enter this in to a diag mode, is a 2 minute process that requires pulling the radio fuse and cycling the ignition key. But this will only show DTC's for the components that the BCM Controls. You will still have to trouble shoot and probe with a multimeter to get the solution.

Turns out it was the bulbs. The original ones were fine as long as they were in the right socket but they just no longer lit up only blink w/ hazards and responded to turn signals only. They wouldn't come on w/ the lights and reason being is there are 2 filaments in ea bulb well on both bulbs one blew out hence the problem. Didn't know it until I picked another pair up and it stood out like a cheap hooker. 2 dolla fix.

One filament is for the DRL, and the other serves as the blinker!

Back hazard lights worked, but the front lights didn't...hhhmmm, your hazrd light fluid might have only been half full.

Thought it might also got contaminated with some non spec Blinker fluid.

Have you been putting synthetic blinker fluid in there again Silas? How many times do I have to tell you that you can't run synthetic blinker fluid??? Pay attention man.
