The problem with doing wheelies (or requiring the wheelie bars) is that you are losing much of your potential speed be doing them ... the wheelie bar doesn't help, as the car will lose the power that is used to press the bars to the ground (or bend them, whichever applies  ) Sure it looks cool, but if you can launch without much lift, it's a lot better for your ET ... (agreed, tripping the 60' with the rear wheels must be cool ...  )

Have you ever picked up on a set of properly installed bars? They are not solid. You can watch the rear squat just by picking up on them.
Wheelies are a problem for the stick, or the NA guys, but even the power adders typically '60 on the rear wheels. Nature of powerfull beasts.
I just watched it, yeah that is OLD. Pain's car runs really good (Houstan I believe).
