Anybody see the viper doorsills catch on fire on Top Gear Nov. 7th?
That was classic...then they turned around and spelled viper on the pavement with burnouts.

Is it good quality? To date, I have found three types of TV ripps - DivX/Xvid with ~350megs (very good quality, widescreen), 300mb DivX, regular 4:3, good quality, and ~200mb wmv files (low quality video, bad quality sound) with credits in front for some website ...
If it's the latter, it's not really worth downloading ...

You're probably right, but the problem is, that there are nearly no parts with ABE for American cars. That's of course an advantage of having a German or European car, that you can mod many things legally without having to worry about TUeV/papers etc.

Exactly! It hurts so much seing all those Calibras, BMWs etc. with blackouts, gfx, loud exhausts etc etc and everything is TÃœV approved 
All the parts for german cars have some papers that helps you go through TÃœV. The manufacturers do that so they can easily sell their parts in Europe. The parts for the us-cars dont have chit, coz you dont need chit in the States and they dont really care bout the very few drivers in Europe that want to tune their cars, so they dont do any papers that would help us!

I'm not sure I can agree with that statement. The Germans do build some very good cars, but so do the Americans. I'll put the Corvette, Cadillac CTS, Viper, Camaro, and a few others up against anything built anywhere for the same price. I've had two German cars, one BMW and one Mercedes, and can't brag about either one of them, either in terms of quality, service, or value. They have been good cars, but not any better than the American cars I've owned. The cost of driving them was higher due to the upkeep required. Not knocking the German cars, just not convinced that they are significantly better, if at all. There isn't a single one I'd trade my Camaro for, even at twice the price.

Jerry, don't get me wrong here, but I do not think you can compare the build quality and precision of a Camaro and a Beemer or Merc ... e.g. for something obvious, compare the "Spaltmaße" (I have no idea what that is in english, the gaps between body panels, door/body, etc.) of your 35th to just about any german car ... or the interior ... yes, german cars have their problems, too, but there is definitely a difference there ...
... but I still wouldn't trade my 'maro for a regular Beemer, Merc, or any VW, Opel, german Ford, etc. ...

If there aren't papers to go with the parts, the TUeV personnel should use some common sense. If they're letting the same parts fly for the European cars, which have the proper papers, I don't see why they shouldn't allow the same parts for the American cars. I understand the rules and everything, I just think it's all a little excessive. Just my opinion.
