Just curious, how much does changing from a 75mm to an 85mm MAF effect fuel economy, if any?

If its tuned properly to begin with and tune properly after the change, you will notice no difference.
The 85mm maf will flow more air, other than that, nil.

Thanks for the input. My car seem to run richer after putting the SLP MAF on. I swapped it back to the factory one yesterday to see what it does.

Often with a replacement maf you will need to recalibrate the maf table in the pcm so that it reads the correct amount of air at each point.

Don't do it!!
It will just screw your tune up.
MAF's and MAF ends are widely considered to be "newbie mistakes".

I think you mean blindly installing an untuned maf is a newbie mistake. A properly tuned 85mm maf will give you more power than the stocky. Plenty of threads on ls1tech.com tuning forum with interesting info in them.

Don't waste you time or money changing the MAF to an 85mm unless you have ported heads, big cam, and larger intake and throttle body. Just my 2 cents.
