Anyone have experience with the AFR 205's? They make a pretty good head compared to the others. I have researched Katechs, patriots, LS6 CNC and the AFR seems to be the best deal in regards to historical experience. They have a close tie with LG Motorsports.

Thanks.
Nick

Sup Nick? Don't know about AFR's but why not go w/ 210's if you are gonna do it? I'd have AI do the headwork ..... dollar for dollar they do the best work.

Have you read anything about the L92 heads? They require a new intake and headers, but they flow 330 on the intake side without porting. Also less than 1,000 for a set. If they aren't out yet, they should be within a month.

I had thought about it and I did not want to worry about notching the pistons, pushrod length, gasket thickness and compression. All of the above would have entailed more work and time than I want to invest. Besides, AFR has offered me the same package as LG Motorsports uses on one of their C5 race vettes. The whole package will be above 525HP with at least 440RWP, and all streetable. I would also go with the bigger heads if I wanted to just 1/4 all of the time, however, since I am roadracing, the port velocity of the 205 heads will actually flow better with the cam and the RPM band in which I will use it, believe me I was ready to go for the bigger heads, however, bigger is not always better depending on how you race and what your RPM band will be. I plan on using the rev band from 2000-7200, mostly in the 6400-6800 shift range.
Cam is a 581/588 lift with 114/113.5 LSA with 224/224 duration. Extreme duty springs, stainless valves and all of the goodies. I am very confident of AFR's package because of all of the good press on other Fbody and Vette forums.

Thanks for the new head update, I am ready to buy now and can';t wait, I can always bolt them on later if I do not like the AFR' for that low price.
