Done right, yes. I am researching every possibility I can imagine. The cost is increasing though.

That's the way to do it! Find out how much dough you have to play with, and try to make the most out of it!!
Another way is to find out what you want, and if you don't have enough for it, save up!! :p

There is always a way. May not be the best of the best, but it will do what I want. Besides these things are ongoing projects. It's not ALL about winning for me. As long as I get faster than before, then I am happy. I will keep to my philosiphy at Bitburg and not take anything out of the car that would normally be in the car everyday. The only thing would maybe be the sway bar for better launches.

Well it is not all about winning for me either. It is the combination, longevity ,performance and relibility. I will be putting on 12000 miles a year mostly in the summer?

It only helps when you can get a little traction to get the nose up planting the back tires!!! Have you ordered yet Dave?

I assume you are talking about the short block. No, the GP won't start for about another month. There are more than 12 people getting in on it though. I am a definite on the list. I need a list of EVERYTHING that Tony has already ordered or has in hand for me. This way I don't buy things twice.
BTW The $3500 I quoted you was for the machining and building of the short block rotating assymbly only. To finish off the short block would be adding a kit they have that includes timing chain & cover, water pump, new opti, wiring harness, and vacuum harness for $675.00. Plus the cam that Tony has already. He is checking through his channels also, but I don't think he will match the price.
The only things I would need if I don't sell my current engine is the timing chain and water pump. $4000 or less.

Might not be a bad idea to add a windage tray also.

I don't know what that is. But I'm sure I am in good hands.
