Well I just returned from doing the cam swap in my car. It took right around 9hrs at a very slow relaxed pace. I also resealed the rear diff, and changed the oil.
Initially the only hard part was just the removal of the radiator. It is a pain in the Arse! Everything else is very straight forward for the removal. I was very concerned with the lifters staying up as I had 2 that wanted to keep falling. Once I rotated it about 50 times they seemed to stay up so I went for it.. It made all kinds of noises coming out that had me worried. The new one went in without a stop. Be forwarned the cam is sharp!!!!!
Got it all together and filled the radiator. Started it up and it loped like a NHRA dragster and was hard to keep running. It was found out to be a loose plug wire:) Then the car had a bad knock, tick or whatever.. I thought it was a rocker arm. Once the oil got to it it went away. Then the car overheated. I forgot to purge the air out of the system.. It took another gallon...
The car seems to idle the same with a noticeable lope from the rear of the car(The loudmouth just got louder) I did not really notice a difference in the power, but John and Dave drove it and said it pulls harder above 3k.
Well overall I am tired, cut, sore.......But really happy all went well..... Thanks for the help John and Dave.......

kinda a weird, but since you put the Vtech motor in your car George, there was a post about it in cz28.com. For everyone that wants to know more about the Vtech in George's car check this out http://www.howstuffworks.com/question229.htm
BTW did you just change 1 cam?

Wow ... 3MB .wav ... maybe you should convert it to mp3 ... (at 30k/s I don't really care, but those ISDN/Modem users ...) Sounds nice, though ...
