3000eur!!!????

lpg injection systems for V8 are like 1.400eur.

they are very good, I couldndt feel the diffrence between gas and lpg on an 2000 bmw 540.

when a good system is used there is really not a big diffrence even at wot.
a diffrence is very noticable when using noninjection systems with lpg hoses way at front of an intake manifold.

My advice:

If you want fuel economy, buy a damn hybrid. Why would anyone want a big a$$ fuel tank inside their car?

@Jarek: 3000EUR is including installation.
I will tell you an interesting fact
LABOUR is a very expensive thing in Germany.

There are some companies like Geiger or Starmotors, which will charge up to 6000EUR for converting a Vette to LPG.

But, here Jack is completely right: The big gas tank is not desireable in the Fbody.

you didnt said that with instalation:)

I know that labor is expensive in Gemany.

as well as a extra tank isnt a desired thing in fbody.

but gas prices here are as high as in Germany with our salaries being couple times or ten times lower...

Jarek, I did not mean to hurt you.
People from Poland are fully aware of the prices in Germany (but we do not know much about prices in Poland).

Its good, that some people dare messing around with LPG.
I wish I could do on my own and would not need to rely on some installation companies.
But the financial benefit would be really small for me.
Its not worth it.

Starsmotors is full of sh*t anyway. When I was there once, I saw they were selling a new Chevy Trailblazer with several "extras". One of those extras was a DTM exhaust tip (that coffee can style). That TIP (I'm not talking about a whole exhaust) cost 850 Euro! :o

Well, I had a look at the homepages of Starmotors, Red and Geiger.
I cannot confirm 6000EUR for an LPG installation, the highest was around 4700EUR for a SUV. But somewhere I had read this.

Anyway, if you want to have a good laugh, just study the prices for their tuning kits!

http://www.Red-Motorsports.de (all prices incl. installation):
A set of PU bushings for the Vette: 1950EUR :pat:
4 Bilstein dampers: 1490 EUR
Swaybar set: 1290EUR :bash:
Induction kit: Throttle body, MAF and air filter: 1490EUR

Geiger (http://www.geigercars.de) is not much better:
Stainless steel Catback system, throttle body and airfilter for 3040EUR

I will never ever buy something from them! They are MAD!

Those prices are ridiculous, and anybody who actually buys from them is either really stupid, or way too uninformed.
