Ok cool, thanks George. I was gettin all worried, thinking I would need a new rear. How many hard launches, with stock gears and DRs, could it take though??

Hey man, if you ripped through the gears like I do, you'd have had at least one new one by now....

I call Bull Puckey George is right It is how you Rip (Clutch) through the gears what is the hardest is initial contact RPM VS total engagement. I have seen blue Pressure Plates and glazed clutch disk from slipping. I bet yours is blue.

I do not know why yours has gone so many times... I know if I put some DR's on I will be kissing the clutch goodbye, but I would sooner kiss it goodbye then a rearend for right now.....

Jack road racing is harder on the clutch do to heat and repitition. I have a stock clutch with A Z06 clutch PP/throwout bearing in reserve. I prevent slipping by side steping the launch and I can shift without the clutch if I need too.

I think he means letting the clutch out at once, by stepping off the side of it rather than raising your foot which allows for slow engagement and slipping.....

I dont know why my brake lights were showing, I usually cover the brake with my left foot(when driving fast, incase grandma in the opel comes out to pass), maybe I was pushing just enough to activate the lights
